VoIP - Voice over Internet Protocol - IP Telephony - a technology that allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line.
VoIP allows ‘on-net’ calls to other people using the same service, which carry no call charges.
VoIP enables you to call anyone who has a regular telephone number - including local, long distance, mobile, and international numbers at much lower call charges.
VoIP can be used by either running special software on your PC or Mac, through a special VoIP phone (IP Phone) or a traditional phone through an adaptor.
